They are are dyed and spun into yarn and woven into cloth on traditional looms in Scotland at a family-run mill.
The customisation of up to three initial letters will be done at the British luxury labels facilities at Blyth on the Northumberland coast.
Through the Runway Made to Order service, customers can also pre-order outerwear and bags with their names engraved on special nameplates inside the coats and purses. The monograming service will be available at Burberyy.com from September.
