After the wonderful Sarah-Jane lit up the stage our host at the MOBO nominations launch, Mel B will be joining her on 22 October at The SSE Arena to co-host what is going to be a spectacular MOBO Awards show.
Over the years, Mel B has remained a close friend of the MOBO family. Her talents as a recording artist, songwriter, dancer, model and TV presenter have continued to bring a lively dynamic to the MOBO stage. The X Factor judge and former Spice Girl has graced our stage several times in the past as both a host and performer. Mel B first hosted the awards in 1998 with Bill Bellamy as well as Wyclef Jean in 1999 and Reverend Run in 2008.
The international star s welcomed back with open arms as she never fails to captivate the audience with her wit and charm. She will now hold the ultimate record for hosting the MOBO Awards with this year marking her fourth show. Following close behind her is Alesha Dixson and Trevor Nelson with three and Sarah-Jane Crawford with two.
Sarah-Jane first stepped foot on the MOBO stage last year when she co-hosted the 18th MOBO Awards in Glasgow. The popular leading lady of BBC Radio 1Xtra proved her talent as a presenter and was later given the opportunity to become the host of X-Factor. Therefore, we are very excited and proud to have her rejoining us for the second consecutive year.
The 19th MOBO Awards promise to wow the crowd with incredible music performances that will leave the crowd wanting more. Now with Mel B and Sarah-Jane added in the mix, this show will be nothing short of amazing!
